Lansing radio-controlled solar airport lighting is designed to offer airports, defense, and aid agencies complete flexibility and enormous advantages over traditional fixtures.
The fixture is operated by a wireless hand held controller, which enables personnel to remotely activate and set specific characteristics of lights within their airfield up to 1.5km by using advanced proprietary software.
The operator can change the intensity of each light remotely by pressing the button on the controller – greatly extending the flexibility of the system.
Besides switching between operating intensity, lights also can be set to five flash patterns, including steady burning. Lights set to the same flash rate will automatically synchronize with each other to provide clear perimeter or security marking.
The fixture is solar-powered, and will automatically charge the internal battery during day time. The internal battery has a life expectancy of 5-6 years, after which can be readily changed on-site by the operator. It also use long-lasting energy-efficient LED technology to provide exceptionally bright, clean light and outstanding visibility under all conditions. And there are no need to change globes.
The combination of advanced embedded-systems electronics, and LED and solar technology, allows for an airfield lighting package which can be deployed in minutes and can operate maintenance-free for many years – all this without the need for external power or underground trenching and cabling.
